Aberdour Community Council

What do Community Council's do?

Community Councils are groups of people who have a genuine interest in the well-being of their local community. Our main role is to seek the views of the people of our community on all matters affecting them, and represent those views to the local authority and other public bodies. The local authority, in turn, has a duty to consult the Community Council on how local services are delivered, and on other issues affecting the community. Community Councils have the right to be consulted on planning applications in their area and also to be informed about licensing applications.

Aberdour Community Council meets every month in the Institute, Shore Road. Meetings start at 7.30 pm and all village residents are encouraged to attend. The meetings are also attended by our local Fife Regional Councillor and the Police. The dates of the monthly meetings for the rest of 2007 are:-

Tue 13 Nov.  2007

Mon 17 Dec.  2007

Thurs 17 Jan.  2008
