Change of telephone number
From 1st January, 2008 the new telephone number to contact the police will be:- 0845 600 5702
This new number will replace the old 318900 number, and will provide access to all Fife police stations for information, personnel and minor problems.
Both the old and new numbers will run in parallel until 31st December 2007. All local police numbers will be phased out after that date, so it is advisable to get used to using the new number from now on.
You should continue to use 999 for serious incidents.
