Argyll Street Garage Site - An Eyesore

Argyll Street Garage Site

It has recently been advertise that Clackmannanshire Council have improved the Garage Site at the back of Argyll Street.  This site was created 25 years ago when during the renovations within Argyll Street, the council decided to cut the gardens down to size.  The gardens at that time went up to the old railway line.  There is also a public walkway as a short cut to Greenfield Street.  This is very popular with the youngsters and adults, especially for getting to Sunnyside School.  Residents of the Garage Site have now complained about abusive behavior from school children stating that they should not be there with their cars.  Dog Fowling is also becoming a problem where one local resident was seen not clearing the dogs mess.  However, to get to this walkway, you have to walk right through the garage site to get to the opening to the walkway.  As the garage site has no lights, you can imagine what it is like for drivers, especially in the winter.  However, judge for yourself and have a look at the following photographs of the Argyll Street Garage site after the improvements made by the council.
