What we do - We listen and provide emotional support to people who are despairing or considering suicide. We don't judge them, or tell them what to do. We listen. That may not sound much - but it can make the difference between life and death.
- People who are in despair are often so focused on a particular problem or pain that they find it difficult to see a way forward. Talking openly to a Samaritans volunteer, in a safe and confidential environment, can help.
- We believe that listening can save lives.
