I am honoured to have been elected Chairman of the Council this year, a post which I am only too pleased to fulfil.

In my role as Chairman of the Communications Committee which oversees the publication of Ymlaen and our website, I am in constant contact with the public and this ensures we cover a broad sweep of the community.  As Chairman this year I will be pleased to discuss any issues that any resident may have. 

I feel passionately about conserving our beautiful countryside and am a founder member and secretary of Dyffryn Clydach Environmental Group which works locally to improve the area for the benefit of wildlife and for the enjoyment of the community at large.

I am proud to be a governor of Neath Abbey Infants' School and also represent the Council in the national meetings of "One Voice Wales", the organisation that includes a local councils throughout Wales.

I am currently enjoying learning Welsh with which I struggle greatly. My interests include local history, rugby and gardening and I am a past volunteer member of Riding for the Disabled Association.
