Representing the communities of Cwrt Herbert.Dyffryn, Highlands,Longford,Neath Abbey and Penshannel

The council consists of thirteen members representing all areas of Dyffryn Clydach and uniquely the councillors are not warded which means that any councillor can represent any resident of the area.

The council held its Annual General Meeting on  14th May,2007 during which it appointed its new Chairman, Cllr. Martyn Peters. Cllr. Peters has previously occupied the position twice so we are indeed in safe hands.

Cllr. Margaret Smith has been appointed Vice Chairman.

We welcome them both and wish them well for the coming year.

The council meets on the first Monday of each month [excepting Bank Holidays]at 6.30pm in the Committee room at the rear of Dyffryn Clydach Memorial Hall. The public are always welcome to attend as are the local press.
