EAST TYTHERLEY PARISH COUNCIL ORDINARY MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 14TH AUGUST, 2006. - Apologies: Apologies received from Mr. P. Redshaw and Mr. P. Paddock. Members present: Mr. A. Robins, Mrs. S. James and Mr. M. Scoones.
- Declaration of Interest: None.
- Matters Arising: None.
- Planning Applications: Yew Tree Cottage, no objection from us, awaiting to hear from TVBC.
- The Dun Valley Parishes Group: A meeting has been held, about new Government planning regulations. Lockerley and West Tytherley are concerned about infilling of dwellings. This doesn't really apply to East Tytherley. Mr. Robins, will draft out a letter, as to our visions of planning for East Tytherley in the future. Perhaps to have a special meeting to discuss the contents of this letter. Then we can go forward with a joint approach with the other parishes in the Dun Valley Group.
- Children's Play area: Still moving, although very slowly, as it is holiday's time. Quotes are now in. So in the next couple of months, things will start moving again.
- Police Community Officer: The Dun Valley Parishes, haven't yet discussed this subject.
- Conservation Area: Nothing happening at the moment.
- Traffic Survey: Mr. Robins has been approached by East Dean, to carry out a survey of traffic volume in the area. This would be over a twelve hour period (7.00am - 7.00pm) over a period of days. It is mostly cars and vans that use the road, not many tractors and lorries. Lockerley were surprised at the volume of traffic using the roads, at the T junction by the bridges. We are waiting for the outcome from East Dean.
- Correspondence: None.
- AOB: Road signs, Mr. Scoones to contact TVBC in Andover, about this problem. 40 Mile speed limit sign in hedge, again Mr. Scoones will look into matter. Footpath No. 5, apparently there is assign saying footpath but no actual footpath. Mr. Robins will look into the matter. Bumps in the road surface, there are markings on the road, ready for repairs, but doubt that the bumps will be corrected.
- Next meeting: The next meeting will be held on Monday 13th November, 2006 at 6.30pm.
