EAST TYTHERLEY PARISH  COUNCIL  

ORDINARY MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 13TH NOVEMBER 2006

  1. Apologies: None - Members present: Mr. A. Robins, Mrs. S. James, Mr. P. Redshaw and Mr. M. Scoones.
  2. Minutes of Meeting held 13 November 2006
  3. Matters Arising: None.
  4. Declaration of Interest: None
  5. Election of Councillor: It was agreed that councillors would start approaching appropriate people from within the village to try to fill the position
  6. Planning Applications:  The Star Inn - New vehicle access and block up existing access, removing the children's play area creating a larger car park. No specific references to replacing the existing childrens play area.  AGAINST - Position of New entrance was unsafe. Oaklands Farm - work has not been done strictly in accordance with how it was stated within the planning application
  7. Development Plan review: Parish has in conjunction with Lockerley, West Tytherley & East Dean submitted detail views. Parish councillors have copies of minutes from specific meeting in subject.
  8. Proposed Play and Community Area: TVBC has up to £10,000 available for playing fields & play area.  TVBC has £200,000 available from Lottery funding, which could be applied for the proposed play and community area)  Friends of East Tytherley are waiting for info on where to buy equipment. English Heritage is waiting for Friends of East Tytherley to submit suitable plans of equipment for the agreed site.
  9. Correspondence: Voting - 1. TVBC advised chairman that village would not be used for voting for councillor in May 2007. Reasons given by TVBC following telephone communication by chairman was Hall was a) Too cold, b) Toilets unsuitable. Council replied that lack of heating could be rectified and that the toilets were suitable. 2. G.P.O. planning to close some Post Offices Countryside Alliance has requested that parish council write to minister to retain rural Post Offices. This was agreed.
  10. Any Other Business: Mr. Robins to give Mike Woodhall a call to discuss the flooding within Queenwood
