EAST TYTHERLEY PARISH COUNCIL ORDINARY MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 5TH FEBRUARY 2007 - Apologies: Mrs. S. James. Members present - Mr. A. Robins, Mr. P. Redshaw and Mr. M. Scoones.
- Minutes of meeting held 13th November 2006: Correct and Agreed.
- Matters Arising: Mr. Robins has been in touch with the engineer about the flooding in Queenwood and the engineer stated that a plans for a solution have been submitted and is awaiting approval. Mr. Robins suggested waiting until the outcome of the new plans has been decided before contacting Mr. M. Woodhall. Mr. Redshaw pointed out that Mr. M. Woodhall might be able to help get the plans agreed if he was contacted prior to the decision.
- Declaration of interests: None.
- Vacancy for Membership of Parish Council: Mr. J. Monro expressed interest in the vacant council position; however Mr. Robins suggested that the position should be advertised further and that a decision could be made after the local elections on the 3rd May.
- Planning Applications: New access to the Star Inn. The cricket team and Mrs. J. Sowden wrote to the parish council objecting to the planning application and the council also objected to this application. Mr. A. Robins spoke with Mr. N. Whitely about it and Mr. Whitely agreed to take a look. This application went before the planning committee and was passed on the basis that the traffic officer didn't see a problem with traffic through the new access point. Oaklands Farm retrospective application. This was a retrospective application to explain work that deviated from original plans. The council took a neutral view on this due to the building have grade 2 listing status. This application was refused.
- Dun Valley Development Plan: No further update.
- Proposed Play and Community Area: No further update.
- Correspondence: None.
- Any Other Business: None.
- Election in May: Local elections to take place on 3rd May 2007.
- Date of next meeting: Due to the local elections taking place on the 3rd May, the date of the next meeting cannot be decided until after they have taken place. However provisional dates of 14th and 21st May have been suggested.
