EAST TYTHERLEY PARISH COUNCIL ORDINARY MEETING, HELD ON MONDAY 15TH NOVEMBER, 2004. - Apologies: Apologies received from Mr. P. Paddock. Members present - Mr. A. Robins, Mrs. S. James, Mr. M. Scoones and Mr. P. Redshaw.
- Previous Minutes: The previous minutes have been circulated, read and signed as a correct record.
- Matters Arising: Letterbox cottage - footpath five, five to six months ago, Mr. Robins had a meeting with HCC about the proposed footpath. Nothing has been heard since, but a new man from HCC will be coming out this coming Wednesday. At the same time, it would be a good idea to mention flooding by laundry cottage, Queenwood and flooding by letterbox cottage. The BT payphone - The telephone box is still here, has not been taken away as yet.
- Planning Applications: Home farm business units - roof light - no objection.
- Policing in Test Valley: We have written again about two policemen covering a total of thirteen parishes. Although, a new police re-structuring booklet has arrived. Mr. Robins to read and then pass around to other members.
- Street Names: Mr. Robins has contacted residents along Queenwood Road. Residents have agreed on Northwalk - with one exception. A resident in avenue cottage, would like it to be called Roman Road. Mr. Robins to contact TVBC with the suggestion of Northwalk and also to mention Roman Road so that they can decide.
- Village Signs: Mr. Robins has had two conversations with Lockerley PC - Michael Bowyer, about the position of the boundary sign. Mr. Robins has given a survey - there are four cottages, where the boundary loops into Lockerley, the other properties are in East Tytherley. The parish council would like the sign moved to the watermill, by the bridges.
- Correspondence: Letter received about the closure of the A36 with maps of planned diversions. Although this should not affect us.
- AOB: Oaklands farm - footpath. Mr. Asher would like to re-root the existing footpath from Bonners up to the Avenue. The ramblers association have no problem with these plans. Application has been made to HCC, which will publicise and then go to the footpath committee, where the result will be published. A few people in the Parish are objecting. We are awaiting the application. Mr. Redshaw is against. This would be the second time the path has been moved. He feels that members of the public against the plans should come to us, the Parish Council. We should also question this move. Two cheques have been signed, one for the clerks annual wage of £350.00 and another for the district audit of £52.88.
- Next Meeting: The next meeting will be held on Monday 21st February 2005 at 6.30pm.
