Falfield is a rural village community to the north of Thornbury in South Gloucestershire. It is situated on the A38 near to junction 14 of the M5. This site only contains basic infomation but we are lucky enough to have a comprehensive village web site which is run by one of our parishoners. See the link on the left. Falfield Parish Council meetings normally take place on the 3rd Tuesday of every other month (Jan March etc.) Some Features of Falfield (also see Useful Links on left of page) - Eastwood Park, now a training centre for the NHS and private health sector, was once the dominant local country house which the village served.
- Our local Church is St Georges in Sundays Hill Lane
- We have a very popular Scout Group with Beavers, Cups and Scouts more
- We have a Village Hall available for hire at very reasonable rates - mail enquiries here
- The Huntsmans Inn is our local on the Bristol Road (A38)
- We have 2 hotels, The Park Hotel and The Bristol Inn
- Our largest employer is probably Eastwood Park Womens Prison
- Our local garden centre is Eastwood Park Plant Centre
- Falfield Stores is our busy local shop and Post Office. We want to keep it that way so please use it.
- We have an active WI who normally meet on the 1st Tuesday of the month.
