7 To receive apologies for unavoidable absence 8 To approve the minutes of the meeting held on Wednesday 9th April 2008 9 Matters arising from the minutes of meeting on 9th April 2008 9.1 to be updated on progress with possible wine tasting event at Bewsey Barn 9.2 To be updated on progress with arranging Fire Service presentations at Community centres 9.3 To be updated on progress with arranging Art Competition for schools 10 Finance Committee business 10.1 to be informed that the draft minutes of the Finance Committee meeting held on 1st April 2008 (already received) were approved and accepted without amendment at the meeting on 2nd May 2008 10.2 To receive the draft minutes of the Finance Committee meeting on 2nd May 2008, to be informed of the items approved for payment at that meeting and to have the opportunity to question any payments 10.3 To be informed that Finance Committee at the meeting on 2nd May 2008 authorised payments of £5278.41 for net wages and £1563.83 for payments to Inland Revenue. This was a difference of 8% more than March pay, but this is because March wages were low due to the 2 weeks school holiday at Easter, which reduced bookings 10.4 To consider recommendations made by Finance Committee at the meeting on 2nd May 2008 and decide whether to accept them 11 To be informed of progress in setting up Summer activities for children and decide if there is any further action for the Council at this time.
12 To consider ideas for a Logo design received from user groups and decide if there is any the Council wishes to make use of, and therefore if it is appropriate to pay an award. 13 To consider suggestions from the public received in response to the "What can the Parish Council do for you" campaign. 14 To be informed that the annual RoSPA report has been received and only minor items are required. 15 To consider request from user group and decide if the Council wishes to give permission for an advertising banner to be placed on its premises 16 To consider a proposal to purchase a small item (such as an engraved paperweight) as a memento to former Councillors who stood down at the election in recognition of their valued contribution to the local community. 17 To consider planning applications received by the Council and consider if any objections are to be raised.
18 To consider correspondence received by the Council and consider if any action is required. 19 To receive reports from Councillors and consider if any action is required.
20 Pursuant to section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to meetings) Act 1960 it is proposed that, because of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted, the public and Press leave the meeting during consideration of the following agenda items.
21 To be updated on progress with Wroxham Road centre.
