1.         To approve the Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 10 May 2006.

The Chairman asked if there were any objections to the minutes or if they could be approved as a true record.  It was agreed that they could be approved as a true record of the meeting, and the Chairman signed them.

(N.B they had been circulated to check for accuracy just after the meeting)

2.         Chairman's Report to the Public for May 2006 to May 2007

The Chairman summarised his Annual Report, which is attached as Appendix 1 to the Minutes.  Copies were available as handouts at the meeting.

He particularly mentioned the "carrot and stick" approach used by the Council to address the problems of nuisance crime which affects so many people in the Parish.  On the one hand the Parish Council had increased the number of PCSOs and the liaison with them to try to police nuisance youths, but they had also tried to foster events and activities for young people to give them alternatives to anti-social activities.

The Chairman also made a point of remembering and appreciating Cllr Dodd, who died while in post, and Cllrs Lynn and Furlong who left during the year; and welcoming the new Councillors who had taken their places.

The Chairman thanked all the other members of the Council and the Parish Council staff for their work and support.

3.         Questions from Electors of the Parish

There were no questions from members of the public present.

The meeting was called to a close at 7.16pm
