Parish Plan

What is a Parish Plan?

A Parish Plan is not just a dusty document, it is actually a community consultation process that aims to set out a plan of action for the Parish for the next 5 to 10 years.
The way it works is that interested Parishioners come together and draw up a questionnaire to go out to all the people in the Parish to find out which aspects of their community they like and wish to preserve or maybe enhance, and which aspects they do not like and want to change.  Then the Parishioners collate the information from the returned questionnaires and use it to create an action plan.  The idea is for the community to develop its own voice and use this to create a shared vision for the future and the action plan for turning that vision into reality.

The Parish Council then takes the action plan and tries to make what the community wants actually happen.

Would you be interested in contributing to a Parish Plan?

Great Sankey Parish Council is trying to find Parishioners who care enough about their community to become involved in shaping its future.

If you have time or talent you want to put to work in this way then let the Parish Council know.  Don't worry if you have never done anything like this before, help and guidance will be available.  Please contact the Parish Council as show below, and we will put your name on a list.  If enough people want to be involved then the Parish Council will bring the volunteers together and get them started in creating their very own vision for the future of Great Sankey.
