Councillor Robert Merry was re-elected Vice-Chair at the last AGM in May 2007.

He wasre-elected at the last election in May 2007 and represents the ward of Old Heath Hayes.

Councillor Merry instigated the "Heath Hayes Area Senior Citizens Support Group" which was formed to assit the elderly in the area with advice, help, transport etc and Councillor Merry has applied for an acquired grants of over £2,000.

In 2006, he was awarded the status of "Community Champion" by the Scarman Trust.
