Tuesday 2nd September, 7.00pm - There will be a meeting of the Community Forum at Prospect Village Hall, Williamson Avenue.

Wednesday 3rd September - Monthly Parish Council Meeting - 7.30pm at Heath Hayes Library.

Saturday 6th September - A local history open day will be held at Cannock Library between 10.30am to 3.30pm. There will be displays, history talks, valuations, clay workshops for 4 to 12 year olds and more. For further information, call 510365. This event is free.

Sunday 7th September, Ranger Event 2.00pmJunior Nature Detectives. Find the hidden signs, tracks and trails of the Chase wildlife. £2.00 per child, adults free.

Meet at Cannock Chase Visitor Centre, Marquis Drive, Hednesford.

Sunday 14th September, Ranger Event. 10.00am, Walk the Ways. Follow part of the Staffordshire Way and the Way for the Millennium on this 5 mile walk, uphill, down dale and along the canal. Meet Milford Car Park.

Monday 15th September. Ranger Event. 8.00pm to 11.00pmAstronomical Evening on Cannock Chase. Now a popular and established event run by the Stafford Astronomical Society, be sure to come early to see the heavens, constellations, planets and other features of Cannock Chase's skies. Powerful astronomical telescopes provided, with experts on hand. Meet Aspen Car Park, Camp Road, Cannock Chase.

Sunday 21st September. Ranger Event. 10.30am Two Valleys Walk. A 7½ mile walk over the Oldacre and Sherbrook Valleys. Enjoy spectacular views and the natural history as well! Meet Chase Road Corner Car Park, off Camp Rd, Cannock Chase.

Thursday 25th September. The agenda for the October Parish Council meeting will be published on the website. The meeting will take place on 1st October.

Sunday 7th September, Ranger Event. 10.00amChurnet Valley & Weaver Hills in One. A 15 mile walk taking in the scenery of the valley and the views of the hills. Bring appropriate clothing and a packed lunch. Meet at Oakamoor Picnic Site, Mill Lane, Oakamoor, Nr Cheadle, follow the signs.

Sunday 14th September, Ranger Event. 11.00amRudyard Lake Circular Walk. Enjoy this almost flat, 5 mile walk around picturesque Rudyard Lake, enjoying panoramic views. Meet at Car Park by Rudyard Lake Railway.

Sunday 21st September, Ranger Event. 1.30pm. Fruits of the Forest. Nature is getting ready for winter. What's in the larder? Meet at Deep Hayes Visitor Centre, Sutherland Road, Longsdon.

Sunday 28th September, Ranger Event. 12.00pm. Over the Edge. Rushy meadows, oak woods and waterways - explore the landscape along the Staffordshire and South Cheshire Ways, via Congleton Edge, Roe Park and the Macclesfield Canal. 5 miles, some uphill. Bring a packed lunch / drink. Meet at Mow Cop Castle Car Park.
