10.00AM - SUNDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER 

"Walk the Ways" Follow part of the Staffordshire Way and the Way for the Millenium on this five mile walk, uphill down dale and along the canal.

Meet at Milford car park.

10.30am - Sunday 23rd September.

"Two Valleys Walk". A 7.5 mile walk over the Oldacre and Sherbrook Valleys. Enjoy spectacular views and the natural history as well.

Meet at Chase Road Carner Car Park, off CampRoad, Cannock Chase.

11.00am - SUNDAY 29th September.

"Autumn Leaves" Enjoy the natural autumnal colours and fascinating facts about the variety of trees of the Chase.

Meet at Satnall Hills car aprk off the A513 on Cannock Chase.

10.00am and 1.00pm - Sunday 30th September.

"Long Distance Ramble on Cannock Chase" Two, five mile circular walks from the Visitor Centre, so do all 10 miles or either of the five miles. Bring a packed lunch, all weather clothing, stout shoes or boots.

Meet at Cannock Chase Visitor Centre, Marquis Drive. 

1. Chasewater.

This walk can be accessed at various points and is mainly flat. It is not suitable for wheelchair access. Park at the Forest of Mercia Centre in pool road and walk towards the lake. There are many attractions here, with crazy golf, canoe rides, pedal go-karts, the Forest of Mercia Innovation Centre and a cafe.

Keeping the lake on your left walk along the path adjacent to the dam. At the start of the dam you can look to your right and see the overflow pools and down the valley you can see the start of the Anglesey Branch canal. Walk along the path to the far end of the dam where the beach is. Yes - there is a beach.

Follow the path past Chasewater Rugby Club (where the Burntwood Wakes are held) and you will pass smaller poolseventually arriving at Chasewater Heaths Railway Station. Follow the path to the meeting point of Chasewater and Swagmans Pool and cross the small metal bridge keeping Chasewater on your left. You will pass the waterskiing club and the main train station before returning to the car park. Walking slowly, this will take two hours.
