Holt Community Bus
An independent non-profit making organisation providing transport for Holt village and neighbouring communities, founded in 1996. The Committee of Holt Community Bus is delighted to report that we have now received delivery of a brand new Renault Master 15-seater 2.5 Dci minibus. The new vehicle replaces the red Citroen which we have used since 2002 and comes with air conditioning, electric windows/mirrors, 62.5mph speed limiter, reversing aid proximity meter,fold-out step with easy access and a number of other features. There is provision for two wheelchairs with a full width light weight fold out rear ramp. Our self-drive hire rates were last increased in 2006 and have been revised in the light of increases in diesel costs etc. We believe the rates remain extremely competitive and reflect the fact that we are a community based group run entirely by volunteers. RATES Self drive rates, charged per mile/kilometre, are as follows: (with effect from March 1st 2008) Renault 2.5 dci 15 - Seater (including rear wheelchair ramp): 85p per mile(53p per km) for the first 100 miles (161 kms) in the day; 65p per mile (40p per km) thereafter. A minimum monthly invoice value £15 applies. For bookings of more than one day a minimum charge of £30 per day may be applied,irrespective of mileage. A cancellation charge of £25 may be made. For longer one-off journeys we are happy to quote specific rates. For new customers a deposit may be required with the booking. The stated charges include all fuel used as well as comprehensive insurance. The stated capacity of the bus includes the driver. We do not normally provide drivers.
