Kessingland Parish Council -  10th January 07

 

SCC attended, and provided an update on the Very Sheltered Housing and Library project. SCC is forming a Project Team on which the Parish Council will have representatives. Councillors were also invited to go and look at other such schemes in the region. 

WDC reported that the Ashley Nursery site should be cleared within a month. With regard to the site specific allocations, WDC reported that once this consultation is complete, a preferred sites consultation will be prepared. The police report advised that there had been 16 crimes recorded in December 06 which included; 1 domestic incident in the High Street, 3 thefts, 6 incidents of damage, and 2 public order offences. The police had also been advised that vehicles had been seen on the beach. The Chairman reported on his meeting with WDC regarding Community Involvement on which there will be a presentation to the Council in due course. Councillor surgeries will continue in 2007 and the rota will be drawn up and displayed. T mobile had contacted the Council with regard to a possible site for telecom equipment and this will be considered at a future meeting. Permission for an access marking had been requested by SCC for a property on Lloyds Avenue and this was agreed. The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on Wednesday February 14th at 7.30pm at the Methodist Church Hall.
