Langtree is a Parish in North Devon, England, situated about 4 miles south-west of Great Torrington and 8 miles south of Bideford with a population of 807 (2005 figures). Langtree means "tall tree", and the Parish covers the area of Langtree, Stibb Cross, Berry Cross, Langtree Week and Stowford, as well as many outlying farms and other communities. Torridge District Council and Devon County Council are responsible for local government, and the Parish is in the Shebbear Hundred, the Archdeaconry of Barnstaple, and the Diocese of Exeter. The Parish offers: All Saints Church - a 13th-century Anglican church. Langtree Community School, a state-funded primary school. It was built in 1929 and was extended in 1992 and 1998-1999. A modern Parish Hall with excellent facilities. The Langtree Playing Field with modern playground and exercise equipment. A Methodist Chapel. The Green Dragon Pub in Langtree.
