TearAways, Snack N Chat, SatADay Club
Newsletter Snack 'N' chat has been running for over two years. This is our youth club for year 6 and over, we run theFriday night before ' Saturday club ' which is usually twice a montb at Langtree parish hall. It starts at 6.00pm and finishes at 8.30 pm, its £2.50 per person and includes a snack like crunpets, beans on toast, pasta etc. The activities on offer are Badminton,Pool, PS1, dance mat, air hockey table, crafts stuff and lots more. Some of us take guitars and cd's that we play as loud as we want. We are open to anyone who is year 6 and over. SatADay Club has been running for almost 2 1/2 years, now we have about 18 children that attend each session. We run the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month and the age is 4 to 12 years. We prepare out own lunch which can include pizza, pasta, soup etc. We also make our own puddings like cakes, biscuits, jam tarts, rice pudding and lots more. There is a range of activities like craft, clay, sawdust box, a wooden pirate ship, dolls house, fort, Lego, home corner and lots lots more stuff. The session runs from 10 am til 2.00 pm and costs £8.75 per person £5.50 for siblings. The club is open to every one. Snack provided like veg, fruit, bread sticks and rice cakes. TearAways has been running for 4 years, this is our holiday play scheme which runs 11 days a year and 1 day in each half term, 2 days at Easter and 5 days in the summer holidays. It is very well attended and takes some of the boredom out of the holidays. The activities we do are cooking, craft, themed sessions like beach, knights, pottery days, also adventure days and lots of other things. We run at Langtree parish hall 10-4pm and bring a packed lunch with ice packs to keep them cool.
