ANDOVER VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLES CLUB

The Andover VIPs are a charitable organisation caring for the needs of the visually impaired in and around Andover. Providing free visual aids to those needy people after being assessed by the Social Services Sight Loss team. Also providing courses in Microwave cooking and computer skills to allow blind and partially sighted people the opportunity to be included socially and be able to cook safely and communicate with others and feel more a part of the community. We also arrange monthly coach excursions to places of interest which often include a meal out. There is also a flourishing monthly lunch club at a local hostelry where we meet for a good meal and a good 'natter' as getting out is very important to those of limited sight and just because a person can no longer see should not be a deterrent to socialising and enjoying oneself.
