Slindon is a picturesque village at the foot of the South Downs. It lies within an AONB while the northern half is designated as a Conservation Area. Recorded in the Domesday Book under the name of Eslindon, there is evidence of human habitation on the site as long ago as the Old Stone Age.
Much of the village belongs to the National Trust and is set with the South Downs to the north and the renowned Slindon beechwoods to the south.
