Minutes of the First Parish Meeting for Election of Parish Councillors

The meeting was held in the New School room Warburton on Tuesday the 4th day of December 1894 at 7 o'clock in the evening. Mr. Jas. M. Newton one of the Overseers of the Poor read the Notice convening the meeting. It was proposed, seconded, and carried unanimously that Mr. J.B. Sandback take the chair.

The chairman after waiting for 15 minutes for nominations then read out the names of the candidates their proposes and seconders a show of hands was taken and a poll demanded. The following persons were nominated:

The assistant Overseer was instructed to deliver the nomination papers to the Returning Officer at Knutsford before 2 p.m. on the 5th day of Dec.1894. It was proposed and seconded that a hearty note of thanks be given to the Chairman for his services in the Chair to which he suitably replied.

Chairman
