The most southerly village in Cheshire, Audlem is the current winner of the Defra national award for 'Building Community Life' and the 'North of England Village of the Year' as well as the current 'Cheshire Village of the Year'. Audlem is where the Shires meet. Shropshire is a short walk away on the Shropshire Union Canal and Staffordshire minutes away by car. Audlem's three main roads are, appropriately, Cheshire Street, Stafford Street and Shropshire Street.
