BEC-funded purchases

With the proceeds of last years fund raising we have made a donation to the Toddler group of £200 to help towards a soft play house. We are going to be able to finalise the acquisitions that we feel that we need by purchasing an additional Marquee and a further 20 tables. If anyone has a wedding etc and would like to hire these please let Chris (343395) know. We have hired out for a wedding at the end of June already.y.

BEC welcomes back to the Seven Stars

Baldon Events Committee are very grateful and would like to thank the Seven Stars who not only donated the collection (£63) from the New Years Eve party for the Food and Fizz, but also provided nourishment for the January meeting, which are now being held in the pub again.

The Seven Stars has also offered to run other events with proceeds going back into the village via BEC. Events that we are planning together so far are Valentine's Night (book now - 01865 343255), St Patrick's Day (Put March 17 in the diary) and later a black tie Casino night.

We are sorry to have lost our Vice Chairman Martin Stockman who has moved back to London and we would like to thank him for his contribution in getting BEC off the ground.
