MINUTES of the STAFF COMMITTEE meeting held on TUESDAY 7th NOVEMBER 2006 at 7.00pm in Barum House, The Square Barnstaple. PRESENT: Councillor M Eastaugh (Chairman) Councillors: A Windsor, Mrs S Haywood (Mayor Ex Officio), Mrs V Elkins and R Hawes ST29 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE Apologies as recorded on the attendance sheet were received from Councillor J Phillips.
ST30 MINUTES RESOLVED: That the Minutes of the meeting held on 17th October 2006 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman. (NC) The Chairman proposed, and it was unanimously agreed, that the following items be taken in the absence of Press and Public as they contained exempt information as defined by the Local Government Act 1972 Sch 12a Part 1 (1)
ST31 STAFF HOURS REPORT RESOLVED: That the Staff Hours report be received and noted (NC) ST32 REVIEW OF STAFF SALARIES Committee received details of the changes in roles and responsibilities of staff members 205, 850 and 493.
After discussion it was RESOLVED: 1. That staff member 205 receives an increase of one spinal column point, as from 1st April 2007, to reflect supervisory responsibilities. (4.1) That staff member 850 receives a merit rise, equivalent to 25% of one SCP upon completion of basic computer training. (NC) That staff member 493's salary is regraded to SCP 15-21 to reflect increased managerial and financial responsibility and to bring the post in line with other similar posts within the Council. (NC)
