Weddings at the Guildhall

Barnstaple's  Historic Guildhall  is  now licensed  for Weddings & Civil Partnership Ceremonies

The Guildhall's magnificent Council Chamber provides a memorable setting for your special day.  The Chamber is the scene for many of Barnstaple's most important events, including the annual Barnstaple Fair Proclamation Ceremony, and can accommodate up to 140 people with ease. 

The Guildhall is situated on the corner of the High Street and Butchers Row and is adjacent to the Pannier Market.  Vehicle access is limited but there is ample car parking at the nearby Cattle Market or Queen Street car parks. 

Seating in the Chamber can be arranged for an intimate ceremony in the centre of the Chamber, or if numbers exceed 30, guests can be seated in the rear gallery and the side boxes. 

Bookings for the Guildhall are accepted throughout the year, subject to availability.
