Bradford Peverell is a village situated 3 miles Northwest of Dorchester in Dorset. In addition to the main village settlement there is the hamlet of Muckleford and several outlying farms and small groups of houses. The total population of the parish is a little under 400.
Set in the Frome Valley, in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the village is surrounded by agricultural land with many bridle and foot paths to be explored. The Water Meadows adjacent to the river are designated as Land of Local Landscape Importance and parts of the remains of a Roman aqueduct, which runs through the village, are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.
Although there are no shops in the village and no Pub, there is an active village life, largely centred on the Village Hall and the Church. There are a range of clubs and activities, music and drama performances and film shows throughout the year. There is a service in the church every Sunday.
