Broadwoodkelly, DevonUpdated 4 May 2008Broadwoodkelly is a rural parish set between Dartmoor and Exmoor, about 10 miles north of Okehampton and 3 miles from Winkleigh. The village itself consists of about 30 dwellings, a church and a village hall. Within the parish are two smaller communities - Splatt, with a Methodist Chapel and Ingleigh Green. There are no public houses, shops or post offices and no commercial premises apart from farms. The only public transport is a bus service to and from Okehampton that operates on Mondays and Thursdays. Politically the parish is in the Borough of West Devon and within the Parliamentary Constituency of Torridge and West Devon.
