The Society aims to preserve the amenities of the village and its historic buildings and surroundings, issuing 3 news letters each year. In addition we have 5 talks every year with guest speakers in the village hall, an annual AGM and dinner and an annual field walk and outing. We have a treasured archive of maps, photos, tapes collected or donated by members and wellwishers and are in the middle of a two year project of "Recording the History of East Hoathly and Surrounding Villages" funded by a Lottery Heritage Initiative grant.
