The Local Channel Chat

Several of the Beta trial Communities have started to use their new community forums on "Chat".

Everyone is free to contribute and we have set up some discussion forums for general discussion topics in England, Wales and Scotland to get some national debates and discussions going.

 

 

The good news about having a forum is you can get some good debates and discussions going.

I've been using the East Tytherley forum to publicise upcoming meeting agendas and asking for others to comment on what they would like discussed at the meetings too - http://www.thelocalchannel.co.uk/community/forums/p/107/148.aspx

An interesting use of this may be to network re good service from local trades, and maybe more importantly, warning against poor service and 'rogue' traders. I have had a terrible experience with a local [West Kilbride] so called 'Design and Project Management' company, which has caused me massive heartache and financial loss. If I could have been warned about him, then I certainly wouldn't have proceeded to have thrown away all the money his way. Any thoughts?

TLC is working on exactly this kind of development for the site where you will be able to review businesses and importantly warn people locally about poor service.  We hope to have it ready by next Spring when we will be launching a fresh new look as well.
