We recommend that administrators place their website address, http://www.thelocalchannel.co.uk/StensonFields/home.aspx, in their signature on the forums. 

That way when you post anything on the forums then the web address is available to users to select to be taken to your website.

Seeing as you asked I looked the photos are great especially the flowers.  Not keen on coloured font but maybe I'm too square. EH

Thanks, I'm glad that you liked the photos.  I took them with my mobile phone.  Can you believe the technology today?  Are you a photographer yourself?  If you have any pictures of Stenson Fields I would be happy to put them on the site or link to your own website if you have one.  (That goes for anyone local reading this.)

 As regards the font colour, I am experimenting with what I can do with the format and so on.  I like a nice bright cheerful domain so perhaps that's why I have gone for those colours.  Of course the minutes and any serious news items are in black and white.

 Just had a look at your site. It's very good. Like Eileen I too enjoyed the pictures.

You have put some ineresting information up in the community pages. How about a bit more on your Councillors. Pictures of them are good to add. Especially one of yourself, after all you are doing the site

The other councillors are a bit shy I think and I don't want to be the only one with my photo up.  But maybe if I fill my bit in and urge them to have a look they might give me the info that I want.  It doesn't have to be personal information after all and it was my idea that not only is the site a way for the community to get involved but also a way of introducing ourselves to them as I'm sure that they don't really know who we are or what we do.

 I know the problem. Some of the Councillors in Whitehill are the same. Mind you we have a few that are more politically active and want all the publicity they can get.

The thing is that as Councillors we are there to serve the community we represent and so to my mind at least people should be able to recognise us and make contact if they need to. Keep pushing and see what you can do.

Hello Claire, EH and Keith,

We are retiring in the next 18 mths or so and are looking for small town where we can afford to buy a bungalow, we can't in Birmingham where we live now.

Having trawled the web for property for sale we see that Stenson Fields is one place that we could afford. We also need an allotment and I see from the aerial pics that there is a site not far from ASDA.

I wonderd if either one of you, or indeed someone else reading this post might know of someone who has got a plot there and an email address. We would love to chat about the site, we do have an allotment here in Brum and it would be great to exchange experiences.

I like the pics as well and do a bit of photography myself.

Thanks for your message and lovely picture.  Unfortunately I don't know anyone who has a plot there but I have sent an email to the other councillors to find out if they know anyone that has.  In the meantime you can check out this site:

I believe that the site that you were looking at from the aerial view was Sinfin Moor Allotments and their contact details are on the above site.
