My long standing heritage of Llanbadrig

Brothers and Sisters of Llanbadrig, At long last I am able to bring to you all my greetings from Texas. I wish you all the  very best for Christmas as we celebrate the Occasion of the Birth of Jesus Chris,. also to hope with you that the New Year of 2008 will all that we need it to be.

I am a decendant of the Jones Families who ran the Buarth Y Foel and Nant Ye Fran Farms in the 19th Century and early 20th Cent. I am also related to the Williams, Owens and Parrys . So far I have found nine graves in St. Patrick's Graveyard of my ancestors! I visited with them when I was there during September 2007

The strange thing is  that I have had great success at building my family tree , but have never had a successful match with anyone related to my welsh family. This means of course that I have never met any one alive who is related to me from my Welsh Family. Here is my family tree and I wonder if the local community might find just what I am seeking- a continuation of the blood line in the 20th and 21st Century. I thank you all for your kind consideration and look forward to hearing from anyone interested in our genealogy. Kind Regards, Joseph W. D. Walker

    JONES FAMILY TREE

    William Jones 1780-1847
    + Emma Jones 1788-1859
    Residence Buarth Y Foel

    CHILDREN:
    a)Thomas Jones 1826

    b)Emma Jones 1829
    + Robert Roberts 1819 Children: William Roberts1819

    c)Sydney Jones 1821
+RobertOwen 1827 Children: Mary Emma Owen 1844, Sydney OwenOwen 1845 William Jones Owen1848
    Elizabeth Emilie Owen1854
    d)Elizabeth Jones 1820
+Richard Owen 1819 Children: Emma Ann Owen 1846
    ***** Owen 1849
    Anne Owen 1850
    W.R. Owen 1852
After the death of William Jones in 1847 The Buarth Y Foel Farm was run by his wife Emma Jones and her eldest Daughter Elizabeth and Son in Law Richard Owen. In the 1851 Census Emma is away from the farm visiting a daughter and family
After the death of Emma in 1859 there was a dramatic change ( in my eyes):-
The farm which lies adjacent to Buarth Y Foel is called Nat Y Fran and it was occupied by :-
William Jones 1801-1864 and Thomas Jones 1792-1844 (Possibly all these are related family of the Buarth Y Foel Jones???
Part Answer this William Jones only appears at Nant Y Fran in the 1851 and 1861Census and he and his family are from Canarvonshire. So unlikely they are recently related to the Cemaes Llanbadrig Amlwch Branch of the Jones Family!
The Thomas Jones a local man and his family are shown at Nant Y Fran in the 1841 Census. As his wife Catherine Jones died in 1829 it seems that he took another Wife Elizabeth Jones b 1811 . So his Family is now modified to look like. The second wife and apart of both sets of children are shown in the 1841 Census. Individually they are difficult to locate but if you find Buarth Y Foel, (listed as Buarth) in 1841 they are on the same page. They are listed as Nant.

    Thomas Jones 1792-1844
+Catherine Jones 1796-1829 CHILDREN: William Jones 1823 We know that this William was his son from the Wedding records and that his parents William & Catherine had lived at Nant Y Fran
John Jones 1824 INF Sudney Jones 1821
    Thomas Jones 1826
+Elizabeth Jones 1811 2nd wife CHILDREN: John Jones 1831 Robert Jones 1836 Anne Jones 1840
    1861 approx[taken from the census]
William Jones b1823 now is the head of Buarh Y Foel + Ellen Catherine Williams 1820

( An interesting fact is that previously Ellen and the children had been living in Liverpool in the welsh community 1851 Census)
William Jones 1823 +Ellen Catherine Williams 1820 Residence Buarth Y Foel
    (she was the daughter of
    Surgeon Robert Williams
    1785 + Ann Griffith1783) CHILDREN: a)Ann Catherine Jones 1844 b)Ellen Jane Jones 1846 c)Elizabeth Mary Jones 1850 d)Thomas Evan Jones 1853 (Surgeon) + Mary Jones 1856 CHILDREN: Ellen Catherine. Jones 1876 Alice Mary.Jones 1878 Sydney Gertrude. Jones 1880 Gwendolin Jones 1882 Muriel Jones 1891
    e)Sydney Mary Jones 1856-1915
    +Owen Hugh Parry1851-1933
    f)Griffith Griffydd Jones 1861-1899(Surgeon)
    g)Catherine Williams Jones 1860
    +William Anderson c1860
    CHILDREN: Sydney Anderson 1896
    Robert Griffin Anderson 1899
    h)William Robert Jones 1848-1914
+ Ellen Williams 1867-1940 Residence Buarth Y Foel CHILDREN a)William Wynne Jones 1889-1937
    b) Griffith J.Jones 1890- 1912

About the turn of the Century the Jones Family left Buarth Y Foel and for a short time became boarders in Bootle, Liverpool, William Robert Jones worked on the Docks! ( Considering that the Jones were Gentleman Farmers it suggests that there must have been a major down swing in the Anglesey economy, for him to become a dock worker? )
Fortunately William Wynne Jones stayed in Bootle and married Jane McLean, because they had my MOM Veronica Jones.1918 who married my DAD Joe Walker 1914
William Robert Jones and Ellen Jones moved back to Anglesey and retired in Amlwch.
William Robert Jones died in 1914, he was living at an old WaterMill
I think he is buried at the Burwen Cemetery
    Ellen Jones died in 1940 aged 73 11b 1542 .
I would still like to know where she lived at the time of her death and she is also possibly buried in the Burwen Cemetry?
My grandfather's brother Griffith Jones 1890 -1912 11b 735 I wonder where he is buried and where he was living at the time of his death, also did he marry?
NB. Circa 1900 the Buarth Y Foel Farm was taken over by the Roberts Family and then sold circa 1950 (Please don't hold me to this last sentence!! )
I searched for Sydney Mary Jones Parry and her Husband Owen Hugh Parry. I found them only in one Census and it was 1901 Anglesey and guess where they were living - Buarth Y Foel !! So this means my assumptions about what happened in 1900 must be incorrect or happened later on !
Sydney Jones Parry was the sister of my great Grandfather William Robert Jones.

Due to a Recent discovery which made a break in my welsh (Anglesey) family tree I am asking for help to see of anyone can show me that there was a relationship between the following people:-
    DATA:
    William Jones b Llanbadrid 1780-1847
Emma Jones his wife b 1788-1854
Living at Buarth Y Foel, Anglesey
    William Jones b Llanbadrig1801-1864
living at Nant Y Fran, Anglesey
    Thomas Jones b Llanbadrig 1792-1844
living at Nany Y Fran, Anglesey
I pose the question because when Emma died in 1854 The son of the Nant Y Fran Thomas Jones took over running the farm, his name was also William Jones 1823-1888. I would like to know if there was a relationship of the two Jones Families as they lived so close to one another.
