Name the New School in Alva 

Clackmannanshire Council is building three news Schools including one to replace Alva Academy.

Tillicoultry Community Council would like to  hear any views on a new name for the school, or the name to stay as Alva Academy.

The school catchment area includes Tillicoultry

I would like to see the school called Hillfoots Academy

What other communities will these new Schools serve? 

Alva Academy is a six year comprehensive school serving the villages of Menstrie, Alva, Tillicoultry, Coalsnaughton, Devonside, Dollar and Muckhart.

The othe new schools are Allao Academy and Lornshill Academy.

Sorry for hi-jacking this thread but it's as close as I could get to one in Alva. I am looking for a family I knew who stayed in number 9, The Glebe in Alva. Jackson was their name. This was around 1982/83 so we're going back quite a bit. I moved away in 1984 and loist touch soon after. I recently met a lady from Alva through my wife which got me thinking of looking up old friends. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
