Minutes of Drum Brae Community Council Meeting held on Monday 9th February

                                     2009 in the Rannoch Community Centre.

 

 

Present:                         R Kingman, J Bain, R Blanch, O Durie, K Wright, K Reilly,

                                      J Herschell, S Frost, M Nelson, G Dott, H Hall.

 

In Attendance:              Cllr R Aldridge, Cllr C Keir.

 

Apologies:                    Cllr J Dawe, Cammie Day.

 

A total of 8 members of the public were in attendance.

 

MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING

 

The minutes were approved by O Durie and seconded by J Herschell.

 

The Chairman welcomed everyone and apologised for missing the last two meetings.

 

CHAIRMANS REPORT

 

The only report is about the Library which is scheduled for 2010/2011, the preferred site is next to the Rannoch Centre on the Drum Brae Drive side at the top corner, Cllr Aldridge talked about the proposals and explained the reasons for this, he also stated that a consultation process will take place.

 

SECRETARYS REPORT

3.    City of Edinburgh:                                Engagement Questionnaire.

4.    SEPA:                                                    Newsletter.

TREASURERS REPORT

 

Money in Bank:      £760.97.

 

Rannoch Centre Bill left to pay.

K Wright talked about the Friends of Clermiston Park meeting that was held in the Rannoch Centre last Wednesday.

All the forms for Friends of Edinburgh Park have been filled up and sent in to the council and once this has been completed and working then Friends of Drum Brae Park will be set up in which G Dott and June Herschell have agreed to be in charge off.

 

Cllr Aldridge stated that the Budget for Edinburgh Council is to be voted on Thursday at which G Dott requested that the spur line to be put in as its on a fixed price, which everyone agreed.

 

The date of the next meeting which is the AGM will be on Monday 9th March 2009 at 7.30pm in the Rannoch Community Centre.
