The Village of Dunkirk is situated on the old A2 which linked London to the port of Dover. It is roughly halfway between Canterbury and Faversham and, although not a large village in terms of population, is spread over a wide area of countryside.
An aerial mast, which is the only one remaining from a WW2 chain home station, is a local landmark which is visible for miles around and stands in the centre of the village. The village boasts a primary school, the 'Red Lion' public house, two garden nurseries, a farm shop and a village hall, and details of these and the beautiful woodland and countryside that makes up the area can be found on this web site.
