The Parish Council is now in its 110th year. In 1894 villagers met in the former schoolhouse and took the momentous decision to form a Parish Council drawn from local inhabitants. In so doing, the Parish was amongst the first to take advantage of new legislation which paved the way to set up such councils The Parish Council is very active and works hard to serve the village and its residents in all aspects of community life. There is also close contact at a community level with Arun District and County Councils for all issues relevant to the village as well as partnership developments such as this website. This community has its own website through which you can find out about local information and how your local council is working for you.
