Little Ashes Pre-school is for children aged from 2½ years to school age and is based at the Parish Hall in Rotten Row, Great Brickhill.
The Pre-school prides itself on its safe and happy environment with experienced, caring staff. Sessions are carefully planned to cover all areas of learning and development and the children are encouraged to have fun by exploring and learning through play. The modern, spacious Parish Hall provides excellent facilities, with an adjoining recreation field, woodland and park, all of which are regularly used by the Pre-school. We are open 5 days a week (term time only), from 9am till 12pm, with an optional lunch-club until 12.30 where the children are supervised with packed lunch from home (we charge £1.50 extra to stay for lunch club). Government Grant funding is available for eligible three and four year olds (*see below). For children under three who are not old enough to qualify for the Early Years Education Grant, fees are currently £10 per session. There is a 20% reduction for families who have more than one child attending Little Ashes at the same time.
Little Ashes celebrated an excellent OFSTED inspection in March 2007. A full copy of the report is available in our ‘Parents File' at the Parish Hall, or alternatively by visiting the OFSTED website at www.ofsted.gov.uk and following the links through ‘inspection reports' to ‘private nurseries in Buckinghamshire'.
While the Pre-school mainly serves the villages of Great Brickhill, Little Brickhill and Stoke Hammond, we welcome children from the surrounding area, and enjoy close links with High Ash Church of England School in Great Brickhill.
