The public auction of the Cuff Lane Chapel Site took place on 6 September 2007.  The large number of people attending meant that the auction had to be moved outside.  The auction started at £280,000 and eventually the site sold for an amazing £446,000. 

Some people seem to think this item should not be on the website any longer as it is now over a year old.  However, we think this news item is still extremely relevant to the future of the village as a whole and it will remain as information for newcomers to the village.
