Growing Community Assets

The Board of the Big Lottery Fund in Scotland has taken a long time to develop its thinking but we were delighted to learn this week that one of the key new Programme areas is to be Growing Community Assets. The bumpf says, " As part of its funding portfolio in Scotland over the period 2006-09, the Big Lottery Fund  will make significant monies available to communities across the whole of Scotland to enable them to acquire, develop, manage and sustain a range of environmental and other tangible and non-tangible assets." This new programme will build on the success of the Scottish Land Fund - one of the best things our Government has done. Senscot has been invited to a working seminar on 7th October to help refine this  investment programme.
