Michael (Mick) followed his father onto the council  in 1979 and has  been a prominent member ever since.Along with Betty Jeffreys he set up scheme for the Low Cost Housing Project, phases 1 & 2 are complete with phase 3 ongoing.

He is chairperson of the Littlebourne Traffic & By-Pass sub Committee and a current memeber of the Planning Committee.

In the past he was responsible for the maintenance and updating of the village lighting, and the tempory transfer of the post office to the village hall pending the opening of the new shop.he has also held the post of member of the Kent Association of Parish Councils (KAPC).
