Present:           Councillor Ellis Davies in the Chair

Cllr John Price                                   Cllr Geraint Evans

Cllr Hugh Davies                    Cllr Angela Howell

Cllr Wyn Jones

County Councillor D H Morgan

Apologies:       Cllr Wallace Davies, Cllr Janet Hope, Cllr Meirion Thomas

It was with sad regret that Cllr Janet Hope?s husband had passed away suddenly on 10th September, and the Chairman asked for all present to stand and observe a minute?s silence as a mark of respect.

2740/05                        Donation to Bethlehem Chapel

Rather than sending flowers with the Council?s sympathy, a donation of £50 towards the upkeep of Dyffryn Ceidrych Chapel at Bethlehem was agreed by all present.

2741/05                        Plot 5, Cefn Crewil, Bethlehem

Councillors had received news during the last week that the last plot at Cefn Crewil, Bethlehem had been sold.  The Chairman reminded everyone that the Council had written to the County Council?s Planning Department when the plot came on to the market, but was advised that the contents of our letter would only be considered if and when a planning application is received for development at the site.  Mrs Last from Capel Seion, the house adjoining the plot, attended the meeting to advise that she had approached an independent planning adviser for help in preventing permission being given for a house taller than her property, or further forward than her property being built on the site.  Councillors were unanimous in their support for Mrs Last.  County Councillor Huw Morgan would ask for a site meeting when an application for planning was lodged, and the Council would reiterate its concerns as soon as the new owner applied for planning approval.

2742/05                        BBNPA Application C21019  Land at Ceidrych House, Bethlehem

The Chairman reminded everyone of the Council?s early concerns about the proximity of a development on the land at Ceidrych House in relation to the wall surrounding the Community Hall Building (former Bethlehem School).  Any new building would be preferred  placed away from the wall to allow access for maintenance.   The full application before the Council showed the building had been  placed away from the wall.  RESOLVED  that a letter be sent to the Planning Authority supporting the application, and asking the County Council to ensure that the new access to the property allowed the best possible view to drivers.

2743/05            Planning applications

Councillors unanimously agreed and RESOLVED that a letter of support be sent to the Planning Authority regarding the following properties:

1)            BBNPA application C21071, new dwelling and garage at Ddafadfa Uchaf, Gwynfe.

Cllr Hugh Davies declared an interest and left the room for the duration of the discussion of this application, returning when another Councillor advised him that the item had been dealt with.

         2)            BBNPA Application C20998, new dwelling at Glanrhyd Garage, Gwynfe.

2744/05            Planning Applications Approved:

It was noted that BBNPA application C19270 for first floor extensions at Fforchddeunant, Gwynfe had been approved by the Planning Authority.

2745/05            Planning applications Refused:

It was noted that CCC applications E10872 for letting units and activity centre at Cefn Glasfryn, Manordeilo had been refused.  The clerk had written to the clerk of Manordeilo Community Council offering Llangadog Community Council?s support in opposing the application.

2746/05                        Application C21035 and C21036 Plough Inn, Myddfai
