September's Newsletter
Oakridge Hall for All Centre Manager's report Hello everyone. Thank you to everyone who has attended the Hall for one or more of our events. It is always pleasing to see new faces and even better to watch those people enjoying themselves. So much has happened since the last newsletter that it is hard to write about it all, but three events over the last month have been very successful and very varied. We had a visit from two owls and a very informative talk by their owners. The owls were flown in the hall and after the talk they were taken into Timbers Nursery to meet the children. Individuals also had their photo taken holding an owl. The LSP ‘Over 55' Project has been running at the Hall for a year now and we hosted a Birthday Party and were entertained by singing from local people who had attending our singing lessons kindly held and sponsored by The Anvil. The most recent event was a trip on the Basingstoke Canal. Transport was included and I have been told that it was an enjoyable day out, especially as the weather was good! Don't forget that Oakridge Hall for All is a community facility that has many clubs and activities available. If you would like any details please feel free to contact me on 01256 475844 or call in.
