Present: Mr R Fennell (Chairman), Mr J Mole (Vice Chairman)Mr D Pearce, Mr G Hopcroft, Mr A Finn, Mr D Cherry, Mrs S Humphris plus 1 parishioner.
Highways Department Potholes: 2 No. reported in The Turnpike, Ashfield Rise and Village Hall entry.
Flooding/Drainage: Highways have been asked to look at this problem occurring in Brill Road and School Lane.
Street Lights: Light C2 in College Crescent not working. Reported to contractor. Recycling Company,Worminghall Road Following the recent public enquiry concerning the planning application to extend the recycling depot to Brissenden Farm, AVDC have REFUSED permission.
Xmas Tree Thank you letters to be sent to Churchills, The Chandos PH, Mr & Mrs Florent, The Royal Oak PH, and Oakley Garage for their kind donations. Little London Green Damage has been caused to the Green by lorries recently, Clerk to chase a contribution from these companies towards the cost of putting right the damage.
Affordable Housing Nothing new to report.
Traffic Calming Measures A full discussion took place on measures to be put into place at the entry points into the village. Councillor Fennell to meet with BCC to finalise.
Planning 06/02603/APP Manor Road, Oakley Erection of two agricultural buildings. Decision: Permit
Web Site Congratulations were extended to Councillor Finn for achieving second place in the Web Site of the Year competition. We thank all those villagers who voted this time.
Date of Next Meeting The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on Tuesday, 6th February, 2007, at 7.30pm in the in the Village Hall.
