Meetings The Parish Council normally meets on the first Monday of the month and there is no meeting in August. The Agenda for each meeting is posted on the notice board outside the Village Hall and on the village website on the Thursday preceding an ordinary meeting.

Change in Procedure Following the recent change in the Code of Conduct 2007, a villager (public) may make a brief statement to the Council either under the public question item 3 of the agenda OR at the beginning of any item on the agenda for that meeting, after which they may not speak.

Concessionary Bus Passes
The Council has received a stock of application forms for the National/Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Bus Pass for the new concessionary bus passes being introduced from 1st April 2008. The forms can be obtained from the Clerk.

LOCAL CODE OF CONDUCT COMPLAINTS PROCESS

Changes to the complaints procedure

From 8 May 2008 the responsibility for considering complaints that local councillors may have breached the Code of Conduct is moving from the Standards Board for England to the Standards Committees of local authorities.

What this means to you

After 8 May 2008 if you want to complain about the conduct of a member of South Cambridgeshire District Council or a member of a parish council in South Cambridgeshire, you must submit your complaint to:

The Monitoring Officer
South Cambridgeshire District Council
South Cambridgeshire Hall
Cambourne Business Park
Cambourne
Cambridge
CB23 6EA

The Assessment Panel of the Standards Committee can only deal with complaints about the behaviour of a member. It will not deal with complaints about things that are not covered by the Members’ Code of Conduct, such as maladministration. If you make a complaint to the Assessment Panel it must be about why you think a member has not followed the Code of Conduct.

The Code of Conduct and complaint forms are available on the Standards Committee webpage at www.scambs.gov.uk or hard copies may be obtained from the Council’s Monitoring Officer at the above address. Further guidance may also be obtained from the Standards Board’s website at http://www.thelocalchannel.co.uk/Tlc/Jsp/www.standardsboard.gov.uk
