Rampton Spinners
Rampton Spinners meet regularly, on Saturdays, in the Village Hall. For further information about the Spinners, contact their Secretary, Lyn Scott on 01223 264 374 or lynscott1@btinternet.com Rampton Spinners Guild comprises around 30 friendly handspinners who meet to spin yarns from wool, silk, mohair, cashmere, alpaca, cotton, bamboo, soy, camel, possum, and many other sorts of fibres on spinning wheels and spindles at Rampton Village Hall. Sessions are informal, often new techniques are demonstrated over lunch. Rampton Spinners are largely obsessed with all manner of fibre based crafts, including felting, weaving and dying and knitting as well as spinning.

Rampton Spinners Guild
Guild Aims
The Guild is educationally based. The aims of Rampton Spinners are to promote and develop spinning skills, to teach beginners and give them the opportunity to learn to spin. A wheel is available for beginners use.
Demonstrations are held at each workshop and are usually around lunchtime.

Membership and Guests
Everyone genuinely interested in spinning is welcome. This is a group where everyone is expected to participate, including children.
Annual membership for 2007 remains at £12 for adults and £7 for children, payable at the January meeting - includes tea and coffee.
Visitors and guests are welcome. The guest membership rate is £2.50 (association members £1) per meeting payable on arrival.
Subscriptions and guest dues are payable to the Treasurer. Please make cheques payable to "Rampton Spinners".
Members are responsible for any children they bring. Children must be supervised at all times, and should not enter the kitchen area.

Housekeeping
Workshops are held on Saturdays from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Please bring a packed lunch. Parking is available, please lock your cars in the car park. Coffee, tea and biscuits are provided. Please make your own refreshments and wash and dry up afterwards. Ensure the kettle is refilled and reboiled when it is empty. Please help with setting out chairs in the morning and clearing up at the end of the day (clearing chairs, tidy kitchen and cloakroom, sweeping the floor, emptying rubbish) if you are able. A bin is provide for rubbish, please use it. If you cannot stay for the whole time, please tidy around your space and put your chair away before leaving.
