Friends Of All Saints Church

We would like to introduce you to an organisation formed in Rampton 10 years ago.

The FRIENDS OF ALL SAINTS, RAMPTON was formed in August 1997. The main aim of the FRIENDS is to raise funds for the repair and upkeep of the Church building. The group consists of non-church members as well as church members of who all have a real interest in this wonderful old Church building. It is the aim of the FRIENDS group to assist the Parochial Church Council of ALL SAINTS in raising funds for the renovation and repair of the building, or indeed helping in practical ways.

For many hundreds of years, ALL SAINTS Church has served Rampton as a place of worship for its congregations and as a venue for weddings, christenings and funerals for the WHOLE community. Unfortunately the years have taken their toll of the structure of the Church building, and despite regular maintenance, each year brings to light the need for yet more expensive repairs. At this present time there is major work needing to be carried out, details of which will shortly be available.

Whilst the congregation continue to raise funds for these repairs, the burden is ever increasing. It is to assist with this work that the FRIENDS were formed. It is important to distinguish between expensive repair costs and the normal day-to-day running costs of worship and running the Parish. Money raised for restoration and improvement of the Church building by the Friends will only ever be used for that purpose.

Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in maintaining the Church building as a village amenity for this and future generations. The FRIENDS also provides a formal link with ALL SAINTS for those who have left the parish. If you are interested in becoming a member, please scroll down further. Thank you
