Ladies Evening Group News

On one of the hottest days of the year 48 members and friends enjoyed a coach trip to Liverpool, visiting the two cathedrals, Albert Dock and a guided tour around the City.

In August our coffee evening was well attended and we were able to give a cheque for £300 to the Wingate Centre at Wrenbury.

We are looking forward to a talk on Wedding customs and traditions by Hannah Crowdy of the Grosvenor Museum, Chester on September 24th.

October 22nd sees the return of a popular speaker, Graham Green, who with the aid of slides will be telling us the story of a drop of water taken up from the Irish sea. Do come along and see what happens to it!!

And on November 26th a talk and slides by Christine Roche on her walk from Lands End to John ‘O’ Groats.

Once again it is that time of year for our Carol Service which will be in Church on December 17th at 2.15pm.

Visitors and new members are most welcome at our meetings on the 4th Wednesday at 7.30pm in the Church Hall.

Many thanks to all the members who helped at the coffee evening and members who help to make our meetings so enjoyable.
