Mothers' Union News

On June 25th, 16 of us received a warm welcome from our Prayer Parners in Sandbach Heath. After a delicious lunch in the sunny but breezy garden of their leader, Janet Warburton, we went into St John’s Church for a Communion Service led by their vicar, the Rev. Janet Bacon. We then looked round the beautiful church with its ouitstanding wood carvings.

The Deanery Mary Sumner Day meeting will be addressed by the Rev. Peter Chantry, who will be telling us of his travels in Nepal. This is on Saturday 9th August at 2.30 p.m. At the Methodist Chapel in Market Street, Nantwich (opposite the Civic Hall).

On the 20th August we have our outing to Trentham Gardens which should be interesting and enjoyable. The coach will leave the Church Hall at 11 a.m.

Our speaker at the September meeting (Wednesday 17th) will be the Rev. Helen Chantry with the intriguing title “The Agnostic Dyslexic Insomniac.”
